Good authors choose their words very carefully. Take a few minutes to write a short paragraph describing an experience you have recently had. Pick a location you went to or an event you attended. Once you have finished, read over what you have written. Now, write a second paragraph. In it, you will repeat the information from the first paragraph, but you will choose your words more carefully. Ask yourself questions like: What words capture this image exactly? What is the best word to convey how something looked, or how I felt? Take more time with the second paragraph. Your response should be at least 150 words in total. WRITER s PLEASE HELP I NEED THIS DONE.

(FEELING TRAPPED AND WEARING MY MASK EVERYWHERE PART OF THE STORY IS TURE THE REST ISN´T, AND MEH CUZS PUT THE BOY/SHIP PART)

One day I woke up...I just felt empty inside, and the fact that we are suppose to wear masks now, made me have the feeling that I was trapped inside my head, sad, scared, and I couldn't express my pain. Day by day it's getting harder to breathe in my mask. When I go to church I try to have a positive smile, but I know someone knows and feels my pain. Each day I wake up ending up going to the stores, or outlets...then I see little kids trying to breathe with their mask and their parents putting their masks up to cover their noses when the little kids try to put it down. I see them crying because they don´t want to wear their masks, poor things they don´t know that it's for their own good. For me, yes I understand I need to wear my mask, but...I just wonder if I´ll ever be able to be free again. Then my mom told me we will be taking a break from the stores...and I gave her a BIG HUG as if she granted my wish of Then my cousins came over and one of them was a boy...I asked my cousin whos the boy? She told me it was Johnny's(my cousin) friend, but I didn't have a good feeling about this boy...he had brown short hair but not too short, he had ripped jeans by his knees, and his shirt had a skull on it with a background with the color red with a hint of white. He was about inches taller than me. I tried to ignore him and go play with my ¨triplets¨" which I and my two cousins and say we are triplets because we look such alike, I start to help my mom clean up...but the next day I got up early in the morning to get dressed to go to the store but instead I saw mom talking to dad...TBCCCCC I am going to add to this but I need to do zoom -.-

It was a time of joyous excitement which words can but tamely describe. In a letter written to a friend soon after reaching New York, I said: “I felt as one might feel upon escape from a den of hungry lions.”

Answer:

The story of Zenobia is probably the most memorable of all.

Explanation:

The choices available for me were:

A. Chaucer clearly intends for the monk to be a comical figure.

B. The monk begins with several short tales to get our attention.

C. The story of Zenobia is probably the most memorable of all.

D. Although the monk makes his point early on, he keeps going.

Subjective tone is when the author uses words that give you an idea of their attitude or opinion towards something. So for this to apply, somehow, these answers have to give us some insight into the people who wrote them.

For why C is correct, this statement is a perfect example of subjective tone. The person who wrote the comment/answer choice is telling us exactly how they feel about the story. They feel or think that it is the most memorable. It is their opinion that the story is the most memorable, not fact. How they came to that conclusion or interpretation is up to them.

For the A, the person here is simply making a statement, but it doesn't really express an opinion which we could use to make estimations about how this person thinks. For B, it has the same problem as A, it gives us no perspective into how the person who wrote the answer choice feels about the story. For D, it's another response which uses facts and gathered information from the text to form a response without an opinion.

SOMEONE HELP A GIRL OUT PLEASE

Answers

The Civil War is sometimes called “The Boys’ War,” because so many soldiers who fought in it were still in their teens. The rule in the Union Army was that soldiers had to be 18 to join, but many younger boys answered “I’m over 18, sir,” when the recruiter asked.

Many of the youngest boys served as drummers; they weren’t supposed to be fighters, but they did a very important job during the Civil War. You’ve probably seen pictures of a boy walking beside the marching soldiers, beating his drum to keep them together. But this wasn’t the drummer’s most important — or most difficult — job.

In the noise and confusion of battle, it was often impossible to hear the officers’ orders, so each order was given a series of drumbeats to represent it. Both soldiers and drummers had to learn which drumroll meant “meet here” and which meant “attack now” and which meant “retreat” and all the other commands of battlefield and camp. (The most exciting drum call was “the long roll,” which was the signal to attack. The drummer would just beat-beat-beat — and every other drummer in hearing distance would beat-beat-beat — until all that could be heard was an overwhelming thunder pushing the army forward.)
