Which situation was not an effect of the Dust Bowl?
A. Crops and livestock were lost.
B. Storms caused widespread property damage.
C. Many people faced health problems.
D. Migration to Oklahoma increased.

Answers

Answer:

migration to oklahoma increased

Explanation-

Im not 100% sure but logic would imply that if a dust bowl happened not many people would want to live there

Answer: D) Migration to Oklahoma increased

This is false because people left Oklahoma for places like California in search of work. The dust storms caused crops and livestock to be lost, and farmers lost their livelihoods and farms in part of it. Another factor was the depression that made prices too low, causing many people to become homeless and starve. The dust storms created many health problems as well. So this is why choices A, B and C are effects of the Dust Bowl, while choice D is not.

Explanation:

Answer:

1) In my opinion, i dont think they heard a ghost. Even though I believe in the paranormal, it is most likely just something else. A figment of their imagination. I dont think so because houses shift and old house do espically.

2) It shows humor with the small things that happen amid the chaos. We can use textual evidence to prove this because the person retelling the story is naked, he then greets the police wearing a towel and then finds pants but no shirt. Really quickly, he finds one of his moms blouses which confuses the police even more. We also see the mom throwing a shoe into a window just because she wanted to which added to the chaos of what is happening. This teaches a lesson because it shows that you always need to find humor in miserable things. even if it hurts, we need to see humor in everything or else we will be miserable overall.

3)  Fear drives the plot of the story because we dont know what is happening and the people in the story dont either. We aren't using the element of suspense like how Alfred Hitchcock and other suspense people would use the bomb under the table element but instead we are stuck with the knowledge of the main charachters in the story. I am using this example because this is what happens in most suspense movies and action movies too no matter how subtle. This helps drive the motivation of fear in everyday life because we dont know how many people know things about us that we also dont know.

What was the Crusades and how can you connect to what the crusaders did?
In summary form help me please !

Answers

Answer:

In the medieval era, the Crusades were a series of religious wars launched, funded, and often driven by the Latin Church. The phrase applies in particular to the Eastern Mediterranean campaigns aimed at the recovery of the Holy Land from Islamic rule in the period between 1096 and 1271.

Crusades were military expeditions organized by western Christians in response to Muslim wars of expansion. Their objectives were to check the spread of Islam, retake control of the Holy Land and conquer pagan areas. Crusading declined in the 16th century with the advent of the Protestant Reformation and the decline of papal authority.

Explanation:

We can connect what the crusades did by how there is war happening in our society like how it is battling between two religious groups. I would just compare right now about two groups of people having issues like how christians and muslims were back then.

What is World War I?

The World War I began on 28 July 1914 and ended on 11 November 1918. World War I was one of the great watersheds of 20th-century history. It led to the fall of four great imperial dynasties (in Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary, and Turkey), resulted in the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia and in its destabilization of European society, laid the groundwork for World War II.

There were lot of scientific and technological initiative made. Innovation on both sides created more destructive and effective weapons.

Armored cars were widely used in the Middle East and on the Western Front. These cars were particularly useful for reconnaissance. Gas was an effective tactic for clearing enemy forward positions during the war. Gases which were used included-chlorine, bromine, mustard gas, phosgene.

When gas was first used in combat on the Western Front, it was stored in cylinders. When the wind was favorable, it was released to drift over enemy lines.

Artillery was also one of the most devastating weapon during the war.

How did poison gas impact WW1?

The most commonly used gas in WWI was 'mustard gas'. Mustard gas was introduced by the Germans in 1917. It was a dangerous gas which blistered the skin, eyes, and lungs, and killed thousands.

Military strategists defended the use of poison gas by saying it reduced the enemy's ability to respond and thus saved lives in offensives.
