Answer:

(here it is)

I ride my bike, it crackles on the old path. I squint. I am in fact only sixteen-i haven't gotten a car yet. My family isn't known to be too popular..with money. I petal, the rusty chains squeak. A gust of wind blows, my hair yanks away from my face, flying back into the wind. I like the wind....i always have. It's so powerful......it could strike you down with any blow. The leaves pitter patter onto the sidewalk, everything is silent except for the distant chatter of students. It was a beautiful day, birds were singing, and the Autumn colors of red and yellow mixed together to create a beautiful glow. Another gust of wind blew. I looked around, nothing was there to be seen. I looked up into the sky-it explained everything. The clouds were gray, and black.

"Ugh.." I muttered under my breath. Out of all days....today had to be when it started to rain. When I was biking home from school, on a wednesday. On the other days my parents would usually pick me up. I petaled faster. I huff, and puff, sweating. Wind blew again, rippling through my shirt and bloomers.

I felt a drop of rain speckle my skin. "NO no no no!" Will I make it in time? To get back home? Before the rain consumes me? Yes! I try to stay determined. I have ten more blocks to go...but...I hear thunder rumbling. It reminds me of my rumbling stomach when I'm hungry. I shudder. It doesn't help that my bike is metal. "Please don't thunder...please dont thunder!"

As if on cue, lightning struck. And then thunder sounded. I remember when we learned about that in fifth grade. Thunderstorms. Thunder always came after the lightning-because light traveled faster than sound. It eases my mind a bit-thinking about something else other than thunder. I stop, to run into a store. I will be soaked! The rain drops started to drop more frequently. Then I noticed something. My bloomers were stuck. Something was tugging at it, not letting it go. I grunt, and turn to see what it is but...the bloomer was caught on to the bike. I couldn't go. I pull on my pant leg to tug it free. "COME ON!" I scream, hearing the huge thunder and lightning clap, lighting everything up for a moment.

Tears start to form in my eyes. "Come on! Let go!" I yell. "HELP!" No one was there to hear my call. If I stay here, I could get really injured. My bike is metal, lightning is attracted to metal, and I'm touching the metal...! My heart pounds, and blood rours in my ears. My adrenaline is coursing through me.

"COME ON!" I screech. My voice is hoarse. Tears start to form, one sliding down my cheek. Holding on tight at my chin. "PLEASE!" Suddenly, the bloomer rips at the bottom. The bike falls. My heart stops throbbing. I run, the bike falls in a clash...and I hear something behind me. Lightening. I turned around in a fright....the bike was destroyed. Cracked. That would be me...done....gone. I clutch my arm. I start to cry even more. "T-thank you." ALthough I didn't know who I was saying it to, I meant it. I ran away, before anything else happened.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California. But not only that: Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia. Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee. Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring. –"I Have a Dream," Martin Luther King Jr. Which phrase is an example of anaphora in this passage? “let freedom ring from” “the prodigious hilltops” “the snow-capped Rockies” “but not only that

Answers

The phrase that is an example of anaphora in this passage is "Let freedom ring from."

Anaphora is the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses or sentences, and this phrase is repeated multiple times throughout the passage. It is used to emphasize the importance of freedom and to create a powerful and memorable image in the minds of the audience. By repeating this phrase and changing the location each time, Martin Luther King Jr. is highlighting the widespread need for freedom across the country and calling for unity in the fight for civil rights.

The specific locations mentioned, such as Stone Mountain and Lookout Mountain, are also significant because they are important landmarks in the South, a region that was particularly resistant to desegregation and civil rights reforms at the time. Overall, the anaphora in this passage helps to build momentum and inspire the audience to take action towards achieving greater freedom and equality.

how does this opening scene help set the stage for the play romeo and juliet

Answers

Answer:

It is full of action, bound to capture the audience's attention. Provides background information by showing us how all are caught up in the fight between the feuding families, even lowly servants like Sampson, Gregory and the Montague men. The hatred between the Montagues and Capulets is long-standing. This scene also gives us valuable insights into the characters of Romeo, Tybalt and Benvolio. Romeo is established as a melancholy, emotional person who stubbornly sticks to his feelings, even if those feelings are inappropriate. Tybalt is established as a hothead, as he refuses to listen to reason and continues a fight that Benvolio was attempting to stop. And Benvolio is established as a calm voice of reason and a true friend to Romeo.

The first scene of Romeo and Juliet is important because it establishes the feud beteween the Capulets and the Montagues, the two primary families in the play. It also introduces us to the characters of Romeo, Benvolio and Tybalt.

The scene opens with two Capulet servants, Sampson and Gregory, discussing what they would do if a Montague came along. Sampson prides himself on his courage, saying he would attack if provoked or insulted. Gregory jokingly calls his fellow servant a coward. When a servant of the Montague household comes along, words are exchanged and a fight insues. Benvolio, of Montague house, tries to stop the fight, but is interrupted by Tybalt, who picks a fight with him. The fight spreads until the entire street is filled with members of the Capulet and Montague households fighting. Both Lord Montague and Lord Capulet attempt to enter the fight, but are stopped by their wives. The Prince of Verona finally arrives and pronounces a sentence of death for anyone of either house who disturbs the peace in the city again.

After the fight is over, the Montagues question Benvolio about the fight and then mention to them that their son Romeo has been acting strange lately. BEnvolio promises to find out why and speaks to Romeo, who tells him that he is depressed because he loves a girl who will not respond to his advances. Benvolio suggests that Romeo look at other girls so that he will forget this one.

The first scene is crucial because it establishes the overall tone of the ongoing family conflict. Sampson and Gregory, two Capulet slaves, are shown holding weapons in the play's opening scene, which is essential since it shows that they are aware of the threat of violence. Additionally, they mimic aggression in language by using words like thrust and strike.

What do you mean by the Romeo and Juliet?

Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, which chronicles the tragic events of two teenagers from rival families who fall in love and attempt to flee together, contains some of the most well-known characters in literature.

The insult is immediately recognized by the other party when Gregory, one of the Capulet servants, bites his thumb at the Montague servants.

The fight is discovered by Montague's nephew Benvolio, who tries to break it up.

Therefore, the first scene is crucial because it establishes the overall tone of the ongoing family conflict. Sampson and Gregory, two Capulet slaves, are shown holding weapons in the play's opening scene, which is essential since it shows that they are aware of the threat of violence.

Additionally, they mimic aggression in language by using words like thrust and strike.

Girls education is equally important as that of boys education. It is necessary for the development of a country since a country doesn't constitute of boys. A society needs equal balance between girls and boys education and that can be only done when both are educated.

There are certain places in our country where girls are not educated thinking that it will go waste. People only focus on boys education because they think girls will get married and go to their husband's house, then what is the need for it. But by educating a girl they can actually educate two families.

But they are not aware of the fact of educating a girl. Educating a girl means development of country, share of burden over families, social awareness, knowledge of their rights and so on. So we should educate the girl child.
