Answer:
Long ago, there was a man named George who always dreamed of being a director or an actor in a play. He wanted to make his play in a theatre and he did. This man first got his love for acting at the age of twelve. George's parents thought that things like going to a theatre and watching people sing and dance was a waste of time. He watched the first play in his life when he got separated from his parents at a grocery store in a mall. The ten-year-old kid was following his parents but tripped and fell in a pile of water bottles and food containers that were stacked in the store. When he looked up to find his parents, they were out of sight. He walked around the store looking for his parents, calling them "Mom. Dad. Where are you?" After thirty minutes, it seemed hopeless for George. He just sat, waiting for the moment when his parents would arrive. After a few minutes, a man walked up to him. The man introduced himself. His name was Freddy. "Where are your parents?" Freddy asked him. "I'm lost and don't know where my parents are," George said sadly. "Let me take you to the security. You know your parent's phone number, right?" George knew his parents told him that he shouldn't be talking to strangers, especially about things like this, but he was hopeless at the time, "Yes, I know my parent's phone number." While they walked to the security manager at the entrance at the store, the man asked George if he had heard of the newest play at the theater nearby. "I have never seen a play in my life," George replied. Freddy seemed very surprised. "My parents don't like things like plays. They say that they are a waste of time," George said. "Oh. That's unfortunate. I think the plays are amazing. Anyway, why don't tell the security officer what happened," Freddy said. The security officer called George’s parents and they came in a minute. His parents ran to hug George, "Are you okay?" both his mom and dad said at once. "I'm fine," George said calmly. They looked over to see Freddy standing at the corner. In an instant, George's dad went over to him. They knew each other from their job. The mom came over and thanked Freddy for taking care of her child. "Ahem," the security officer cleared his throat. "Oh, sorry, officer," said George's mom. She and George's dad explained that they did not notice that George was not there until they entered an elevator. When they entered the elevator and noticed the door had already shut. The elevator ended up getting stuck and the doors were jammed. They also said that they just came out of the elevator when the call came to them. "I'll let you off with a warning, you must be more responsible, and you should have called the mall security to make sure your child was safe," the officer said. The parents nodded and agreed. Before they went home Freddy requested to take George to a play at the nearby theater. Even though the parents did not want their child to go, they thought about all Freddy had done for them, "You can take him to the theatre, but do you want us to come?" The man shook his head "I think George and I will be fine on our own, right George?" George nodded eagerly. "Well, you better get going, or then the theatre will be closed at this rate." George's dad chuckled. That night for the young child was probably his best. He asked Freddy to suggest a play and Freddy said that the play with a title of Pirate Adventures was one of his favorites. The play was about pirates that were looking for treasure. One of the pirates, who was the only one who had a beard and a mustache had broken the ship because he did not pay attention to a giant rock right in front of it. Luckily, the pirates were fiercer than ever and got out of the ship and were safe. Then they found sunken treasure under the island. "This can't get better. Imagine if I could make a play like that," George whispered as he stood up and started getting ready to leave the theater.

What's the climax of the story Aurora by Junot Diaz
Answer:
She remarked that she would have named it after you if she could. She put my shirt on the kitchen counter, folded it, and left. Only we naked and some beer and half a pizza are in the apartment, cold and greasy. You're named after a star, just like your dad.
Before I found out about the kid, this was going on. For a while, she just went on and on about it, and I eventually asked, "What exactly are you trying to say?"
When she picked up the shirt, she patted it down a few times and gave it a final fold like this had required a lot of effort. I'm saying this to you. There is something unique about me. It is important to focus on what you are hearing instead of doing things.
Explanation:
Not all stories have a clear climax. As shown by Romeo and Juliet, it is not always possible to pinpoint the story's climax, as there may be several points where the tension or conflict appears to be peaking.
In such stories, the climax is often interpreted differently by different people. It's fine! There is no definitive answer to where the climax is. More importantly, you must be able to explain how you arrived at your conclusion based on the above criteria. So you should be able to say: How the climax you chose peaks the story's action. In a nutshell, yes. It begins the story's resolution.

read the following passage from “resistance to civil government” by Henry David Thoreau:
Yet this government never of itself furthered any enterprise, but by the alacrity with which it got out of its way. it does not keep the country free. it does not settle the west. it does not educate. the character inherent in the american people has done all that has been accomplished; and it would have done somewhat more, if the government had not sometimes got in its way.
how does Thoreau use a parallelism in this passage?
a. to emphasize the words “but by the alacrity with which it got out of its way”
b. to draw attention to what the american people do that the government doesn’t
c. to add the surprising revelation that the government gets in the way of progress
d. to compare the government to an obstacle, such as a tall mountain or river
C would be the answer
The use of parallelism within the passage does insinuate that the government is but an obstacle obstructing advancement, but there was nothing that hinted the government to being as obstructive as a mountain/river, so D is out.
The other answers are simply irrelevant

How does it sound??
Answer:
While I do get what you're trying to say, try rewording your sentences. For example, instead of saying "Student life is not the proper time to do things," you can use this: Being a student means that you can not focus on your interests and study for school assignments at the same time. You are, eventually, going to have to focus on one thing, either your interests, or school. As school keeps students busy with loads of assignments, tests, and exams that students can't find a proper time to do the things they want to do. (see how I used your sentences here?)

Explain the comparison that Churchill makes in the last sentence of the passage.
How is the content of the passage similar to a bookkeeper's balance sheet, which is
a summary of what a company owns and owes as well as how much people have
invested in the company? Then analyze how the comparison helps Churchill fulfill
his purpose of persuading the British people to stand firm despite recent setbacks.
Support your ideas with specific details from the passage.
The comparison, which Churchill makes about the bookkeeper's balance sheet in the last sentence of the passage, is that the capabilities of the British people to wage the war against the German Nazis are equally balanced by the inevitable dangers she faces and the resilience of the people.
Prime Minister Churchill declared war against Germany during the second world war, which lasted from 1938 to 1945.
In financial accounting, the financial position of an entity at a given time is captured by the balance sheet. It lists the assets (resources or capabilities) that the entity has and the sources (including equity and liabilities) which finance the assets. The similarities of the passage to a bookkeeper's balance sheet are:
the British war capabilities are like her assetsthe dangers are like her liabilities, and the resilience of the people is like the equity.Similarly, Churchill listed the capabilities of the British Forces to include
Improved defense methodTrained British pilotsCapable aircraft. He balanced these capabilities partly with her equity:
the eternal vigilance and resilience of the peoplethe intense exertion of efforts in the war.He did not overlook the liabilities, which included:
the dangers posed by the German Air forceinvasion devices that the enemy could conceive and the inability of France to provide some protection. Thus, he actually balanced the assets (what Britain owns) with the liabilities and equity (what Britain owes), thereby presenting a balanced perspective of the British position during the second world war, like a balance sheet of a business entity. By so doing, he was able to persuade the British people to not only fight on courageously, but to win the war over Nazi Germany.
