Imagine being in New York City and exploring all the city has to offer. Write a story about a character's adventure in New York City.
Answer:
It was a beautiful day in New York City. The sun shone off of the giant skyscrapers. People in fancy suits and dresses rushed off with their briefcases in their hand and their phone in the other. I glanced around. I walked until I made it to a crosswalk. Once the light turned to let the pedestrians walk including me, a giant crowd of people pushed and shoved to insure they would get off the street in one piece. My phone started ringing. I had an alarm for 12:00 p.m. to find a place to eat lunch. I looked around for any cafes or restaurants. There was a place called Pasty's Pizzaria. I started walking again until I was stopped in my tracks. It was a large crowd huddled around something. I stepped closer through the crowd to see a man playing a saxophone. People started dancing and filling his case with spare change that they had. I smiled and dropped a dollar. When I made it for lunch, I ordered a small extra cheese and veggie pizza. When I got my pizza, I sat down at one of the dine-in tables. I opened the box, and the smell of fresh crust soothed my stomach. I ate a piece, and it tasted like heaven. The warm cheesy delight melted on my tongue, and the crunchiness from the vegetables and the flaky crust went hand and hand. When I was done, I went further into the city. I stopped at multiple boutiques. In New York, there was a very unique style. I walked into the Disney store and bought myself a Stitch and a Chewbacca plushie. When I left, the sun started to set, so I rushed back to the hotel I was staying at. When I got back, I stared out my window. All the lights made the city so welcoming. Then, I plopped down in bed, wanting to explore even more the next day.

Read the excerpt from “The Red-Headed League.”
“I went round to the offices, but no one had ever heard of the Red-Headed League or Mr. Duncan Ross. I did not wish to lose such a place without a struggle, and so,” concluded Jabez Wilson, “as I had heard that you give advice to poor folk who need it, I came right away to you.”
“And you did very wisely,” said Holmes. “Your case is remarkable. I shall be happy to look into it. From what you have told me, I think graver problems hang from it than might at first sight appear. Tell me, what is he like, this assistant of yours who first called your attention to the advertisement, this Vincent Spaulding?”
“Small, stout-built, very quick in his ways, no hair on his face, around thirty years old. Has a white splash of acid on his forehead.”
Holmes sat up in his chair. “I thought as much,” said he. “Have you ever observed that his ears are pierced for earrings?”
“Yes, sir. He told me that a gypsy had done it for him when he was a lad.”
“Hum!” said Holmes, sinking back, deep in thought. “And he has cared well for your business while you were away?”
