Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

84 students (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since 30% of the students ate a sandwich and there is 280 students in total, then you can just do 280 x 0.30 = 84. That means the answer is C, 84 students.

Write an equation for: y equals three times the sum of x and two.

Answers

Answer:

y = 3x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

In a survey of sixth-grade students, 70 students, or 40% of all the students surveyed, said that they liked mustard on hot dogs. How many total students were surveyed?

I just need to know the answer! thanks :)

Answers

Answer: 210

Step-by-step explanation: 70+70+70=210 and 40% for 210 students would add up to 120% of all students surveyed. Look if there is 70 students that's been surveyed that is 40% add 40% 3 times(40%+40%+40%)=120% of all students surveyed

Answer:

28 people :)

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1: output value is 70

step 2: represent the unknown value with x

step 3: step 1 above, 70 = 100%

step 4: similarly, x = %40

step 5: this results in a pair of simple equations, 70 = 100% ,  x = 40%

step 6: by dividing equation 1 by equation 2 and noting that both the RHS (right hand side) of both  equations have the same unit (%); we have  70/x = 100%/40%

step 7: again, the reciprocal of both sides gives  x/70 = 40/70 --> x = 28

hope this helped :)

just multiply 18x9

186 is the answer, the explanation is: first you have to find the area of the box which is 162 because 18x9=162 then we have to find the triangle, we would find the area like a box 4x6=24 but we have to split it in half because a triangle is half a square so the area of the triangle would be 12. Making your answer 162+12=174

hi buddy

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To start, lets find the length and width of the diagram shown in the problem.

Length = 8 cm

Width = 4 cm

Now, we know that every 1 cm represents 20 meters. So, we can multiply both 8 by 20, and 4 by 20. 8 * 20 = 160. 4 * 20 = 80

So, our final answer for the garden in real life are below:

Length: 160 meters

Width: 80 meters

Answer:

459

Step-by-step explanation:

If we break up the figure inot two parts, a rectangle and triangle, we can solve for the area. The area of the rectangle is 396 because the formula for a rectangle is LxW. The area for a triangle is 1/2BxH. So the area of the triangle would be 63. Add these up together and we get 459 centimeters squared.

C. 459 cm
Since we know the formula for the area of a triangle is A = b * h * .5, the area of the triangle is 63, and the area of the rectangle is 396. Add the two together and you get an area of 459cm.

In the similar triangles below, what is the length of DE? with explanation

In the similar triangles below, what is the length of AC? with explanation
WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST

Answers

Answer:

Shown Below

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of DE is 12 because you would multiply by 4 for each length and AC would be 4 because you have to divide by 4

Answer:

AC=4cm and DE= 12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

So um I don't really understand the Pythagorean Theorom but what I do to solve for these kind of problems are subtract the hypotenuse from DEF which is 20cm from the leg which we know which is 16cm. So 20cm-16cm. You should get 4cm. So that goes for the last leg of the angle ABC. Then i multiplied the 2 legs from angle ABC which by the way are the lines that form the right angle at 90 degrees. the hypotenuse is the line directly across from the right angle. so I multiplied 3cm times 4 cm and I got 12 cm. So to check my work I subsituted the legs and pretended that I didn't know the hypotenuse into the Pythagorean Theorom which is a^2+b^2=c^2. A^2 and b^2 are the legs and c^2 is the hypotenuse. So when we do that we get 3^2*4^2=C^2 under the square root bar thingie. which gives us 5 for the hypotenuse of the angle ABC and subsituted the legs and the hypotenuse and did the same for the angle DEF. And so when we do that we get 12^2+16^2=C^2 which equals 20cm which we already have.

I really tried my best explaining that. I hope you do a good job.
