Answers

Answer:

the awnser is D i took the test and got it right.

Explanation:

The sentence that is correctly punctuated is  - After six hours, the bright, hot sun became unbearable. (Option D)

Why is this so?

The use of commas after "six hours" and between "bright" and "hot" helps to separate the elements in the sentence and improve clarity.

Commas are used to indicate pauses, separate items in a list, and set off nonessential information, which is the case for the adjectives "bright" and "hot" describing the sun in this sentence.

Punctuation is important as it helps convey meaning, clarify relationships between words and phrases, and enhance the overall readability and comprehension of written communication.

Would you have joined the American Revolution? Why or Why not? Give 2-3 reasons for full answer

Answers

I would join the American Revolution, there are many reasons to why I would do this such as the fact that Britain wasn't giving the colonists any say, it would have been dangerous to appose, and since times were different Britian making rules for America that far away wouldn't have worked out.

Britain made many rules and laws for the colonists however there was no representation from anyone who lived there. This made most of the laws and rules unfair and without their consent. This would make me very upset and angry at them especially because Britain recently made new laws and policy's to give the people a say however it didn't include the colonists. Therefore I would be very angry at the taxies and not having any say in parliment.

Another reason I and a lot of other poepel woluld join the revolution is because people who supported the Britain were harassed. If you opposed the Revolution people would call you a tory and they could violently attack you by putting tar and fethers on you. At first this wouldn't seem that bad but back in those days if hot tar gets on you when you peel it off you can get horibel infections which a lot of people died from.

Another reason is back in those days all people had to communiate with were letters. Now these letters had to go by boat all the way across the ocean. This ment that britain ruling America from that far away is bound to fail due to distance. Long distance relationships never work out

Therefore I would be 100% in for the revolution because we had no representation, its dangerous not to, and long distance relationships never work out.

Hope this helps bye!

What was one cultural concern of some Americans about granting Louisiana statehood?

The territory had a large Catholic population.
Most Louisianans spoke Italian, not English.
Many German settlers followed their old customs.
A number of residents were considered to be Anglos.

Answers

Explanation:

The history of the area that is now the US state of Louisiana began roughly 10,000 years ago. The first traces of permanent settlement, ushering in the Archaic period, appear about 5,500 years ago.

The area formed part of the Eastern Agricultural Complex. The Marksville culture emerged about 2,000 years ago out of the earlier Tchefuncte culture. It is considered ancestral to the Natchez and Taensa peoples. About 1,000 years ago, the Mississippian culture emerged from the Woodland period. The emergence of the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex coincides with the adoption of maize agriculture and chiefdom-level complex social organization beginning in c. 1200 AD. The Mississippian culture mostly disappeared around the 16th century, with the exception of some Natchez communities that maintained Mississippian cultural practices into the 18th century.

European influence began in the 16th century, and La Louisiane (named after Louis XIV of France) became a colony of the Kingdom of France in 1682, before passing to Spain in 1763. It became part of the United States following the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. Antebellum Louisiana was a leading slave state; in 1860, 47% of the population was enslaved. Louisiana seceded from the Union (American Civil War) on 26 January 1861. New Orleans, the largest city in the entire South and strategically important as a port city, was taken by Union troops on 25 April 1862.

During the Reconstruction Era, Louisiana was subject to U.S. Army occupation as part of the Fifth Military District. In 1898, the white Democratic, planter-dominated legislature passed a new disfranchising constitution, whose effects were immediate and long-lasting. The disfranchisement of African Americans did not end until the Civil

Answer:

B. I think Julius Caesar was a good leader in his civilization

C. In 60 BC, Caesar, Crassus and Pompey formed the First Triumvirate, a political alliance that dominated Roman politics for several years. Their attempts to amass power as Poplars were opposed by the Optimates within the Roman Senate, among them Cato the Younger with the frequent support of Cicero. Caesar rose to become one of the most powerful politicians in the Roman Republic through a string of military victories in the Gallic Wars, completed by 51 BC, which greatly extended Roman territory.

During this time he both invaded Britain and built a bridge across the Rhine river. These achievements and the support of his veteran army threatened to eclipse the standing of Pompey, who had realigned himself with the Senate after the death of Crassus in 53 BC. With the Gallic Wars concluded, the Senate ordered Caesar to step down from his military command and return to Rome.

Leaving his command in Gaul would mean losing his immunity to criminal prosecution by his enemies; knowing this, Caesar openly defied the Senate's authority by crossing the Rubicon and marching towards Rome at the head of an army. This began Caesar's civil war, which he won, leaving him in a position of near unchallenged power and influence.
