my teacher wants me to choose my favorite book to write about but i cant remember the book name, the book had multiple stories in it, including 2 that i remember that 1 of them had a male who sold bird feathers and was told about (a swan?) with golden feathers, but he is warned about it, but he go's into the woods and tries to look for it, but he cant so he go's deeper into the woods and finds it, at first he has a hard time trying to get it but he does, and something bad happens. the 2nd one i can remember is about a mother who wants her child to be perfect so she goes to a witch and takes an invisible pill, but when the child is born, its born without blemishes, but they banish all the mirrors so she cant see herself cause she is invisible, but when she comes of age 18 she becomes queen cause her parents died, but something happens, and the same witch tells her that she cant see her, and she thinks the witch is lying, but when she gets rid of all the paintings of what she "appearently" looks like, they cant tell her what she looks like so she run into the woods and finds a mirror, and she cant see herself. there is a note from the witch telling her to go into the mirror so she can choose what she looks, but instead of taking her time, she pick mixed matched hands and legs and stuff, but she wasn't totally beautiful but they called her (Esmeralda?) the seen.
