how does corruption impact on service delivery?

Answers

Answer 1

Answer and Explanation:

Corruption is a vast word. It implies premeditated thought and action.

So in the food delivery service world, I don't think there is much room for it, but since you asked, the only way that the customer could participate in corruption is by simply not tipping. This just says that they are entitled, and they don't feel like paying for service, just like going to a restaurant, paying the bill, and simply not paying your server any tip. Another way they can contribute and dishonesty is by receiving the food, but then indicating to the delivery service that it was never received, in hopes of an additional delivery, or reimbursement. This would, however, possibly end the opportunity for the driver, or at the very least, have severe consequences. All dishonesty has an affect.

The delivery folks could really only contribute to corruption by eating, or stealing food or product from the deliveries. That would be premeditated but would be something that would be identified by the customer, which would typically open some sort of investigation.

Otherwise, we tend to look at the top of the food chain in being corrupt, whereas in reality, they are only guilty of having built a system of convenience that people are happily paying into. While it could be said that there is corruption if they are taking a higher percentage than another type of delivery service in comparison, but I find that to be subjective.

After inspecting the car, Mike says ‘I will give you $7,000 for this car.’ Tony responds, ‘That’s no good. I would want at least $10,000 as those tyres and rims are worth $4,500.’ Mike replies, ‘Sorry mate but it isn’t worth that much to me.’
Three weeks later Mike sees the same advertisement on the same website but this time selling the car for $10,500. Mike phones Tony and say ‘I would be prepared to pay $5,500.’ Tony laughs and says ‘How about we go back to your original price of $7,000. We have a deal.’

They stay at the Shangri-La Hotel and as part of their package, receive a buffet lunch each day. On their second day at the hotel, Bill slipped on some grapes that were on the floor near the lunch buffet. As a result of the slip, Bill broke his ankle and was required to undergo surgery.
