If Carry is not able to resist her eagerness to tell her mother about her biology trip then she can just ask her mother if she could listen to her for a while. Even if her mother is very busy and does not pay attention to what she wants to say, Carry must try writing a note to her mother and can tell her about the biology trip by writing on paper. In this way, she would be able to express her eagerness about the trip and would not disturb her mother while she is working.

The three ways to keep oneself motivated for long-term goals is by removing any possible distractions while at work as minor distractions can make you lose your focus on your tasks. Learning new skills is another way to stay motivated for achieving a long-term goal. Engaging oneself in some activities of interest or hobbies that give you a break from a fixed schedule also motivates you to do your work more efficiently.
