Write an essay answering the question: Does the media manipulate society?
Be sure to include—
a clear, arguable claim
reasons and evidence in support of the claim
logical, emotional, and ethical appeals
a counter argument, including a rebuttal and a concession
a convincing conclusion
Answer:
Yes I believe that media manipulates society. Society has always been judgemental and with media it gives society a view of what we think we should look at and so we try to look like the people on media. Media doesn't only make us think we should look different it gets you to download or buy things. Media can't be that bad right? Yes it can media gets us to be insecure and it gets us to buy more things that we think we need or think is cool. Media is not the only probably thought it's us as people we post the pictures on media and then other people do the same thing you did and then it's a trend and then people think that this is how it should really be but if we just don't post photoshopped pictures then society won't think that we are supposed to look like that. Media just make us think we should look different or buy things that we don't need. It's true that we as people should learn to love our selves but media needs to stop showing us things that are not needed or people who think we should look different.

Brainstorming, clustering, freewriting, outlining, listing, mapping, question and answer, and note-taking are all examples of pre-writing strategies. To use the brainstorming strategy for the topic "
The mandatory school attendance age should be age 5," you could generate ideas by writing down all the reasons and arguments in support of this statement. For example: 1. Early education: Starting school at age 5 allows children to begin their education at a crucial developmental stage, setting a strong foundation for future learning. 2. Socialization: Attending school at age 5 promotes social skills and interaction with peers, which are essential for personal growth and building relationships. 3. Cognitive development: Formal education at a young age can enhance cognitive abilities, including language acquisition, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
4. Parental support: Starting school at age 5 enables parents to actively engage in their child's education, fostering a partnership between parents and teachers. 5. Equal opportunities: A mandatory attendance age of 5 ensures that all children, regardless of their background, have access to education from an early age, promoting equality and reducing educational disparities. Another pre-writing strategy is clustering, which involves organizing ideas in a visual manner. For the topic "The best day of my life was when......," you can cluster related memories or events that represent the best day of your life
