define maiden mushroom

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:Maiden Mushroom

Explanation:

Phallus indusiatus, commonly called the bamboo mushrooms, bamboo pith, long net stinkhorn, crinoline stinkhorn or veiled lady, is a fungus in the family Phallaceae, or stinkhorns. It has a cosmopolitan distribution in tropical areas, and is found in southern Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia, where it grows in woodlands and gardens in rich soil and well-rotted woody material. The fruit body of the fungus is characterised by a conical to bell-shaped cap on a stalk and a delicate lacy "skirt", or indusium, that hangs from beneath the cap and reaches nearly to the ground. First described scientifically in 1798 by French botanist Étienne Pierre Ventenat, the species has often been referred to a separate genus Dictyophora along with other Phallus species featuring an indusium. P. indusiatus can be distinguished from other similar species by differences in distribution, size, color, and indusium length.

Mature fruit bodies are up to 25 cm (10 in) tall with a conical to bell-shaped cap that is 1.5–4 cm (0.6–1.6 in) wide. The cap is covered with a greenish-brown spore-containing slime, which attracts flies and other insects that eat the spores and disperse them. An edible mushroom featured as an ingredient in Chinese haute cuisine, it is used in stir-frys and chicken soups. The mushroom, grown commercially and commonly sold in Asian markets, is rich in protein, carbohydrates, and dietary fiber. The mushroom also contains various bioactive compounds, and has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Phallus indusiatus has a recorded history of use in Chinese medicine extending back to the 7th century AD, and features in Nigerian folklore.

Explain how presidential powers impact congressional decision making when attempting to achieve their legislative agenda, by explaining how congressional decision making is affected by the presidents veto power, power to issue executive orders, and power as commander in chief. (Focus this response on how the president impacts Congress).

Answers

Answer:Why do we have a president? And how do presidents get things done?

The Framers of the Constitution wanted to ensure that the executive branch was powerful enough to act, and so in Article II of the US Constitution, they established that executive power in the United States is vested in a president, who has certain powers. The powers of the president outlined in Article II are known as formal powers, but over the years presidents have claimed other powers, known as informal powers.

Presidents campaign for office based on their policy agendas: the things they promise voters that they will attempt to accomplish while in office. They use their formal and informal powers to accomplish their policy agendas.

Answers

Answer:

C. Despite the differences, all students in the classroom have a rich culture and background.

Explanation:

The best way to accept people of other cultures is not to ignore their differences but to acknowledge them. Every person, no matter their culture, has a deep history of heritage and tradition. To respect someone's culture, one should accept the differences between everyone and understand that they are all beautiful. Even if someone is different from you, it does not make their culture any worse or less rich.

How did the soviet union act during the darkest hour

This month marks 75 years since the United States launched its Lend-Lease program to supply the Allies with much-needed war materiel for the fight against Hitler. Downplayed by the Soviet Union, the program was of vital importance to the USSR’s war effort, as even Marshal Zhukov later admitted.

On March 11, 1941 American President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Lend-Lease bill, which permitted the U.S. to supply its anti-Hitler coalition allies with materiel.

what member of state have to do

Answers

Answer:

A member state is a state that is a member of an international organization or of a federation or confederation.

Since the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) include some members that are not sovereign states, neither organization ever speaks of "member states". The WTO has simply "members" (see WTO members), and the IMF refers to its members as "member countries".

The oldest global member state based organization is the International Telecommunication Union, which joined the United Nations System as a Specialized Agency of the T 1088 after the creation of the UN.

specify what religion exist in Nepal and how they coexist side-by-side with unique religious tolerance and temperature

Answers

Nepal was the last Hindu Kingdom in the whole world and the last Hindu country as well. But now it is secular and all the religions are equally treated and given same facilities however some Hindu religious sites have been strictly prohibited for the people of other religions. But talking about the religious tolerance, Nepal is an example to the whole world about it.

Firstly, here the main religions are Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity. Even some people who are not from Hindu religion support Nepal to be Hindu country. Because there are many countries that have Buddhism or Islam or Christianity as their main religion but not Hindu country, and also the number of Hindus are decreasing day by day.

Secondly, here Hindus celebrate Id of Muslims, Muslims put red tika on the occasion of Dashain, the greatest Hindu festival in Nepal. They also visit gumbas and stupas that belong to the Buddhism. And also the people belonging to Buddhism do the same. Christians also celebrate Teej, Dashain, Tihar and all other religions celebrate Christmas. In Nepal, rather than taking their religion as a priority people take humanity and nationality as the main priority. They know how to remain in the harmony with each other.

People of different religion, regardless of the religion enjoy their happiness and share their sorrows mutually. So this best describes the religious tolerance in Nepal.

Which of the following is NOT a power that the Constitution gives the Vice President?
1. Presides over the Senate.
2. Determine if a law passed by Congress is unconstitutional.
3. Assumes the role of President if he/she is unable to hold office.
4. Casts the deciding vote if the Senate is deadlocked with a tie.

Answers

Answer:

2

Explanation:

I believe that only the supreme court can decide if a law is constitutional or not. All most any case I've read about deals with the constitution, and the articles and amendments are always cited as the reasons for a decision. So the vice president really does not have the power to assess constitutional law as part of his office.

He does preside over the senate.

His primary goal is serve as president cannot.

Human Being is a social animal and it is really important for him to behave in an appropriate way. Etiquette refers to behaving in a socially responsible way. Etiquette refers to guidelines which control the way a responsible individual should behave in the society.Social etiquette is exactly how it sounds, it refers to the behavior you resort to in social situations—interactions with your family, friends, coworkers or strangers. We're expected to follow social norms in order to coexist and live in harmony. Social etiquette influences how others perceive and treat youPlus, they're nice. But etiquette also expresses something more, something we call "the principles of etiquette." Those are consideration, respect, and honesty. HELP MEEEE!!!!!Gertrude Belle Elion was born on Jan. 23, 1918, in New York City. She graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a degree in biochemistry in 1937. Unable to obtain a graduate research position because she was a woman, she took a series of jobs, including lab assistant, chemistry and physics teacher in New York City high schools, and research chemist. During this time she also took classes at New York University, where she earned a master's degree in 1941. Because she could not devote herself to full-time studies, Elion never received a doctorate.

How does the author organize information in this article to create a clear main idea?

Chronologically
Interviews and research
Cause and effect
Problem-solution

Answers

Answer:

Chronologically

Explanation:

Chronologically - putting events in order from when they occurred.

The author puts events in chronological order.

When an article is organized chronologically you can almost create a timeline with the events:

Gertrude Belle Elion  was born on Jan. 23. 1918.

She graduated with a degree in biochemistry in 1937

She earned a master's degree in 1941.

Reasons it can't be the other answer choices.

Interviews and research - if the author organized this article using interviews and research there would likely be sourcing of the research and interviews. There is no sourcing so the author could not have used interviews and research.

Cause and effect - Although there is one cause and effect situation present in this article, the author did not organize the whole article using cause and effect situations so the author likely did not organize information in this article using cause and effect.

Problem-solution - when an author uses problem - solution to organize their article the article usually ends in the a solution to the problem. Although there was some type of problem ( Gertrude not being able to obtain a graduate research position, nor her doctorates ), the article did not end in the problem being solved. So the author likely did not use problem - solution

Chronologically or Chronological means that the text or article is described or shown in the order in which it happened. And here they are talking about someone's life which is in order. so this would mean the answer is:

A) Chronologically
